Schema for the nutritional content of ingredients and recipes

This schema is used to communicate the nutritional content of ingredients, commodities, recipes, etc., as values of nutrients per 100g. It is designed to facilitate the interchange of such data between suppliers and those wishing to use the compositional data in software packages. This can be for the purposes of dietary intake analysis, recipe analysis or menu planning.

The Schema has UK Government approval and can be found on the UK e-government list of approved schemas at GovTalk Schema Standards website. Information on the schema status will appear here and also on the e-government website (www.govtalk.gov.uk).

Assistance for potential users of this schema can be obtained by emailing Tinuviel Software.
