QBuilder is a revolutionary tool that enables you to develop any type of questionnaire and collect data with it. For example, you can develop questionnaires to collect medical, psychology or market research information. You can even develop food intake questionnaires that can calculate nutrient intakes. QBuilder is easy to use. Help is available every step of the way. You can collect data with your questionnaires using paper form, computer-based interview, or an interview that subjects can complete on the internet/your organisation's intranet. For each questionnaire, QBuilder automatically generates:

• Paper form
• Data entry system for the paper form
• Computer-based interview
• Interview that subjects can complete on the internet or on your organisation's intranet
• Nutritional analysis system for food intake questionnaires

QBuilder is the ONLY software package that can generate all of these automatically.

A Remote Data Entry (RDE) system is also supplied, enabling data entry to be done on any computer. Data can then be imported into QBuilder for further processing. You can output analysis results to screen, printer, file, web page or email.

For QBuilder's web-deployed questionnaires, data are returned either to an SQL Server system, or via email. QBuilder can then automatically recover and process the stored data.

There is a statistics module, enabling you to carry out a range of analyses, at the touch of a button. For more complex analyses, file outputs can be used in statistical analysis packages such as SPSS.

There is an advice module, so you can produce an individualised output report for any questionnaire. You specify exactly what you want the report to say and in what circumstances.

QBuilder is used by nutritionists, psychologists, medical researchers and epidemiologists.

Six sample questionnaires are supplied with QBuilder:

• Another widely used food intake questionnaire
• Angina (chest pain) questionnaire
• Smoking habit questionnaire
• Psychosocial factors questionnaire

These show how particular question types could be used. They can be used "out of the box" to collect data, or used as the basis for developing new questionnaires. For example, if you want to collect food intake data, you could take one of the sample questionnaires e.g. DIETQ and modify it to suit your population.
