 | This is a single-user version of the program which can be installed on more than one PC. A hardware security device (dongle) is connected to the PC in use. This can be either a parallel port device or more usually a USB device. The software only runs on the PC with the security device connected. The device is moved to the appropriate PC for use. This option is often used where you have, say, an office PC and a portable PC, or where you work on more than one site. |
 | This is a single-user version of the program which resides on a USB flash memory device (memory stick). All the software and the stored user data (e.g., recipes, foods, intakes, questionnaires) are held on the device. This is simply inserted into a USB 1.0 or 2.0 port on the PC and the software runs on that PC. This option is used where you have mutiple locations in which you work, or you wish to share the program with colleagues. Data can be password protected. |

This option allows a specific number of installations to be active at any one time. It covers one physical location (e.g., a hospital). The software can be installed on any PC within the location, but only the licenced number of packages can be active at any one time. When a package is deactivated, a different one can be started. This option is useful for upwards of 4 concurrent users, where there is no requirement to share data. The activation can be done either via a USB hardware security device, or via an activation key disk. |

Most Tinuviel Software products can be provided in a networked version. This can be either a network-loadable product (which operates independently) or a multi-user system with shared databases. Systems can be provided for between 4 and 50 concurrent users. Normally, users are connected via a local-area network, although these packages can also be used on wide-area networks, if sufficient bandwith is available. |
Currently no Tinuviel Software product is specifically designed for thin-client operation. However, some users are successfully deploying our products in Citrix® environments.
