This program enables you to customise the food and drink interview and the nutritional analysis. You can ask questions about up to 12 eating/drinking occasions, encompassing the full 24 hour period. You can name each occasion, choose the items selectable for each and choose the food codes and portion weights used for each item.

You can develop mutiple interview types, e.g. tailored interviews for different population groups. FOOD24 Developer contains sample 24hr recall interviews for adults and children, to show how easy it can be to develop your own interviews.

There are three alternative options. Which of these is best for you depends on how you wish to use the program:

FOOD24 Developer

You can develop multiple 24hr recall interviews, collect data and analyse nutrient intakes from each recall interview. Intakes can be compared with Dietary Reference Values.

FOOD24 Enterprise

This version enables you to develop recall interviews and then carry out your custom interviews on any computer. Thus, you can carry out 24hr recall interviews for a large number of subjects using more than one interviewer, or collect data in several locations.

FOOD24 Enterprise contains FOOD24 Developer plus a distribution licence for the FOOD24 Remote Data Entry System (FDES). Your custom interviews are conducted using FDES and data then imported to FOOD24 Developer for nutrition analysis.

The price is £600 Sterling (€681).

FOOD24 Ultimate

With this version, you can develop recall interviews and carry out your custom interviews on any computer (up to 8 interviews for any one subject). You can then import the interview data into WISP, consolidate the interviews for each subject, making food and drink intake records of several days for each subject. You can then analyse nutrient intakes, compare mean daily intakes with Dietary Reference Values, do statistical analyses using the WISP Statistics Module, or output data to a file for further analyses in statistics packages such as SPSS. You can also examine the contribution of foods to nutrient intakes.

Web-based Interview

FOOD24 Ultimate also automatically creates a web interview from the 24hr recall that you have designed. This can be accessed by any browser, allowing field workers to operate in any location with internet access or for subjects to self-administer if appropriate to your study population. Data are automatically stored on a web server database and can then be imported into WISP for analysis.

FOOD24 Ultimate contains FOOD24 Developer plus FDES plus WISP.
